Benefits of Beets

Beets along with their greens are my absolute favorite. I usually just boil my beets in some water with a pinch of sea salt (skins on, they’re easy to peel off after they’re cooked through and cooled off) while I steam their delicious greens.

 

Did you know that beets are loaded with vitamin C?  They’re also packed with the B vitamin folate and fiber. Beets help to reduce inflammation in the body. They help to lower blood pressure and help to purify your blood and liver (aid in detoxification).

 

Their greens are loaded with nutrients like zinc, magnesium, potassium, copper, vitamin A & C, calcium and iron. They’re also another great source of fiber and help to strengthen your immune system.
