Homemade Gut-Healing Jello

This homemade jello is a gut-healing twist on a childhood classic, made with grass-fed gelatin, organic fruit juice, and a touch of raw honey. It’s free from artificial dyes and packed with natural goodness to support digestion and immune health. Plus, it’s easy to make and fun to eat, especially when poured into playful molds or cut into shapes. A perfect snack for little hands (and grown-ups too)!

HOMEMADE GUT-HEALING JELLO
Ingredients (makes about 4 cups):

  • 3 cups organic fruit juice (like lemonade, grape, apple, or a juice blend)
  • ¼ cup cool water
  • 3 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin (my favorite is Great Lakes)
  • 1–2 tablespoons raw honey (optional, depending on the sweetness of the juice)

Directions:

  1. Bloom the gelatin: In a small bowl, add ¼ cup of cool water. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom (it will become thick and gel-like).
  2. Heat the juice: In a small saucepan, gently heat 2½ cups of the juice over medium heat until warm (but not boiling).
  3. Dissolve the gelatin: Remove the juice from heat. Add the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved. Then stir in the remaining ½ cup of juice and honey (if using). Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  4. Set it: Pour the mixture into a glass dish, silicone molds, or small cups. Let cool to room temperature, then transfer to the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  5. Enjoy! Cut into cubes, shapes, or serve in cups. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
