October begins the dangerous sugar roller coaster ride from all of the sweet treats that are available EVERYWHERE we go – prepping for Halloween. It’s SO annoying.
I make it a point to FILL my house with nature’s candy (aka: FRUIT!), so that those colorful candies can’t tempt me. Not only am I not looking for that crazy spike in my blood sugar levels, but I’m also not looking to consume GMOs.
Organic honeycrisp apples are my favorite, but I also enjoy stocking up on pears, especially figs! My kids still eat a kiwi or two a day, a low-glycemic fruit high in vitamin C. I encourage you to fill your house with your favorite fruits around this time of year and enjoy all that nature’s candy has to offer.
