SWEET PEAR FALL SMOOTHIE
Pears are packed with fiber, potassium, vitamin A and C. This recipe helps keep you fuller longer as well as helps your body heal quickly with extra support for your hair, skin and nails. And adding cinnamon to your food regulates your blood sugar levels, reduces harmful cholesterol, and sends a sweet boost to your metabolism.
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh organic spinach
1 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 organic pear, sliced
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/2 banana (or organic zuchinni)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions: Blend until smooth. Top with cinnamon. Add a squeeze of honey if you need more sweetness. Enjoy!
Note: I love to doctor up my shakes and add as much good stuff as possible to maximize nutrition. I encourage you to as well. For example, this means adding anything from 2-3 Brazil nuts, a tablespoon of collagen powder, a scoop of whey protein powder, a tablespoon of spirulina, a tablespoon of MCT oil, or a tablespoon of chia and/or hemp seeds.
