Usually I never have a taste for smoothies in the colder months, but being a new mom I’m finding them very appealing out of convenience! I try to make them so that they’re about room temperature, so I don’t use frozen bananas or any ice.
1/2 large banana
1/4 cup pecans
About 1” fresh ginger (about the size of a small grape), peeled
1 tablespoon blackstrap molasses
3 medjool dates
2 dashes nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon collagen powder (optional)
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or milk of your choice)
Handful of spinach (if you don’t mind your gingerbread to have a green tint to it!)
1 scoop whey powder (concentrate) (I prefer this brand) – this is totally optional
Blend all ingredients until extremely smooth. Add more almond milk or a splash of water to thin, if needed.
